Aeolus, gr.Αίολος, according to Greek mythology, the god and lord of the winds, son of Poseidon and Arnin. He lived in a cave on the island of Lipari in the Aeolianarchipelago, which is kept and from which it is administered and order a wind.
Among the most important Eolovim winds were eight brothers Anemon:
- Borej, violent north wind;
- Notos, the south wind, warm and humid;
- Büros, dry east wind that brings good weather;
- Zephyr, gentle and mild west wind;
- Caicos Islands, northeast wind which carries the hands of Olives;
- Apeliotes, southeast wind that carries the hands of ripe fruit;
- Libos, south-west wind wrapped fog;
- Skiron, northwest wind carrying a urn full of water, always ready to pour on the ground.
